#6:Princess Mononoke

Another movie produced by Studio Ghibli, this japanese film is set in the lat muromachi period of Japan. The main character is a country boy who has been fatally cursed and travels to a city in search for a cure. Here he meets Madame Eboshi, who runs the city. She has recently discovered steel and how to make guns. Later in the forest though, he meets Mononoke, who has a rivalry with Eboshi. Mononoke is the protecter of the forest and lives with the wolves, so naturally she hates how Eboshi is destroying the natural world to make her weapons. The main character then gets stuck in the middle of this feud all while trying to cure his curse. It is really interesting and covers a very relavent issue.
